The advantages of constant feedback!
Having a coach as a software engineer has offered me a range of significant advantages that have greatly impacted both my personal and my professional growth. This time of personalized guidance has been a really valuable benefit, as it has given me learning paths specifically design for me, based on my individual skills, career and personal goals and also my own areas of improvement. This ‘custom’ approach lets say, ensures that the feedback I get on coding practices, project work, and development methodologies is specific to me and actionable, accelerating my skill acquisition and enhancing my problem solving and soft skill abilities in a very quick manner.

Career advancement is another critical area where I think coaching can have a really big impact. I am looking into to advancing within my current position and coaching has once again help me in understanding whats required from me to go to the next level and the most important thing, establishing those goals to get to the next level and even though those goals are exclusively defined by me, the vision of a coach has helped in understanding what should is important and needed to improve.

Going beyond technical skills, having a coach has really contributed significantly to the improvement of soft and communication skills. What I consider the most important factor is that a coach helps build your confidence, we’ve been reinforcing self-belief through positive reinforcement and support and it is working great so far. Most of our focus has been on the development and improvement of leadership and mentorship skills, preparing me for a role that could involve team management or project leadership and since we started this, I have really felt like I have taken a big step towards this and multiple other goals.

So far the experience has been great with lots and lots of learnigns, I am very thankful for this chance and will try continue getting the most out of it.
